The artist behind the sock

Corday Cardwell writes and illustrates for kids who ask big questions about small things. Like where, exactly, all the missing socks end up.

A dad, artist, and filmmaker from Florida, he’s spent his life making things: paintings, films, music, and stories for readers little and grown. He wrote and illustrated Where Did My Sock Go, drawing on the kind of everyday mystery that’s obvious to a child and baffling to everyone else.

When he isn’t writing or at the drawing board, he’s usually building something new, often with his daughters close by, supplying the best ideas.
